Blockade Runners: Glasgow's role in the American Civil War

During the American Civil War dozens of Clyde built steamers were sold at great profit to be blockade runners, taking in supplies to support the Confederate war effort. This talk will examine how these ships, their crews and ship builders profited from the fight over ending slavery in America.
