Parallel Lives, Worlds Apart: from sugar plantations in Grenada to life at Court

This costume exhibition explores the lives of past owners of Paxton House with those whose lives were intertwined – enslaved Africans, friends and family descendants. 18th century court dress and specially commissioned replica clothing is used to tell the real stories from Paxton’s archives. This exhibition is part of the standard house tour.
