Future Paisley Podcast - October addition, catches up with Children from PACHEDU The School of African Cultures, who for the past few months have taken part in the ‘Museum of Me’ partnership project between The school of African Cultures and the Creative Learning Team at Paisley Museum. Over the course of the project the children have been investigating Paisley Museum’s collections and exploring key historical figures including John Edmonstone, Mary Jane Seacole and Peter Burnet (known throughout Paisley as ‘Black Peter’) reflecting on their lives and identities using a variety of creative skills.

All their work will culminate in an online exhibition showcased in October celebrating Black History Month.

In this podcast the children discuss this core theme of identity within the ‘Museum of Me’ project, exploring what it means to be African and Scottish living in Renfrewshire in 2020.
