Two mixed race musicians from different generations compare and contrast their experiences of growing up in and around Inverclyde. Jazz singer and actress Suzanne Bonnar, who has worked on a variety of productions on both TV, Radio and Theatre. Suzanne first hit the headlines in 1991 with the BBC Forty Minutes programme, Fly me to Dunoon. Musician, writer and filmmaker, Matt Hickman (aka Brownbear) is a unique storyteller whose professional career started in the Cafe Continental in Gourock. This event will also feature a sharing of an extract of Magic Torch's comic book devised by local young people interrogating the legacies of slavery in Inverclyde.
