In this talk Dr Annabel Sowemimo author of ‘Divided: Racism, Medicine and Why we Need to Decolonise Healthcare’ will outline recent approaches to decolonising and anti-racism work within healthcare and medicine. Dr Sowemimo will explore how decolonising frameworks may be applied to healthcare. Can the solidarity galvanised around recent decolonising movements and Black Lives Matter protests be used to help build understanding about racism within healthcare and achieve greater health equity.
