Demanding Justice For Sheku Bayoh

  • STUC Building 8 Landressy Street Glasgow, Scotland, G40 1BP United Kingdom (map)

As part of Black History Month Stand Up to Racism and the STUC are screening a short film “A portrait of Sheku Bayoh” and panel discussion.

Policing & deaths in custody is dominating the news and Scotland is not innocent. Not one of the 6 police officers involved in the death of Sheku Bayoh have ever been charged. The Bayoh family continue to fight for truth and justice. Support for the Sheku Bayoh Campaign for Justice increases as the Public Inquiry exposes horrific evidence of institutional racism & lethal force.

Speakers include Kadi Johnson ( sister of Sheku Bayoh)

Layla-Roxanne Hill (STUC Black workers committee, co-author of Black Oot Here)

Ruby Hirch ( Stand Up to Racism)

Zamard Zahid chair( Stand Up to Racism)
