Film Screening: A Portrait of Sheku Bayoh and discussion with Dr Halima Begum

  • Mandela Auditorium, (Level 1) Learning and Teaching Building University of Strathclyde (map)

Sheku Bayoh died in 2015, after being restrained by up to 7 police officers in Kirkcaldy. This film explores his life and death in Scotland, and how you can support his family's campaign for justice.

We are also pleased to announce that there will also be a discussion with Dr Halima Begum. Dr Halima Begum is the former CEO of the Runnymede Trust, the UK's leading race equality think tank.

The event is supported by Strathclyde’s Race, Ethnicity and Migration Network (StrathREM).
